My name is Marie-Maude Fleury Labelle. I am French Canadian. I have a bachelor in acting and a master in theater from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM). I spent many years working as an artist before moving into teaching theater and personal development through the arts.

I have four children who inspired me to explore the relation between motherhood and creativity, which lead me to the writing of a master thesis : the art of being pregnant. I created this approach and worked with many pregnant women over the years.

While doing my master, I have learned to use the oriental theater approach, also called Butoh. My true understanding of the creative process completely changed afterwards. I discovered the importance of the body in the creative process and its role in the artist’s work of integrity. This learning, combined with my previous acting training, became the foundation of my teaching.

In 2013, I acquired the Creative Journaling Method instructor’s certification. Since then, I have closely collaborated with them. Since 2020, I have been working as a teacher’s assistant with the director of the New Creative Journaling Center, Anne-Marie Jobin.

In 2013, I founded the Muse-Toi workshops with an established approach : the body as an anchor to expression. The body to ensure that you start from yourself to create… to be your own Muse.

For over twenty years, I have been teaching theater to children, teenagers, adults and professional artists. I've also chosen to focus on private coaching so that I can provide each client's unique needs my undivided attention.

I nurture everyday life with creativity ; acting, dance, music, visual arts and writing. Always discovering my artist’s life!
